Good Ole' Monday

Hey there ladies. Can you believe Monday is here again? I've got to get up from here, get going on my way to town and it looks like it's gonna rain on me! A country wife and mother has take care of her family's nutritious needs though, huh? I am real happy that everything we have and want in the pantry we don't have to grow ourselves. My hubby and son does make sure we have a pretty nice garden through the seasons, but that grocery store sure is convenient. I guess I'd better run for now but it was nice sharing a short chat with you and you make sure you come back.

Gettin' It All Purty For Yall

I want my blog to be all purty for yall before I make it public. I'm learning as I go, but I guess everyone has to do that. I've changed and deleted so much. Anyway, I'm back online and working on it after getting home from Matthew's sing tonight. They sure did sing and pick good for the folks at the little church in the country. It was a very cute church with so many nice people. Food was served after the sing, I think most small churches still try to celebrate 5th Sunday.

Here's something about me that I'm sure I'll mention a lot. I guess for the past few years, I've tried to take each Monday and make that the day of the week that I drive to town, bank, grocery shop, etc. Tomorrow should be a regular day in town, but the past few weeks have been a little mixed up. Did I mention that we also homeschool? That's why it helps to have just one town day set aside, especially when you live almost 30 miles from town like we do.

I have "fall fever" so bad. I just had a surgical procedure done last Thursday so I can't lift over 10 pounds for a couple of weeks, but I'm gonna get Matthew out there in that shed to get my many boxes of fall decorations and I'm getting this place dressed up for my second favorite time of the year. Of course fall can't top Christmas around here. All three of us love Christmas, mainly the season, it's meaning and celebrations leading up to Christmas Day.

A Country "Hey"

Hey there. I'm just so proud of myself. Here Lillie Mae sits (that's me) in my little farmhouse kitchen and I've just created my very own blog. I'm no stranger to the computer but I've mainly just stuck to browsing the internet, emailing, and I love Myspace. Although Myspace seems to have a bad reputation for drama, I've never experienced any because I've been so careful to keep my profile private and have been selective of my friends. I'm still trying to get my new blog page all pretty like I want it and then i'll start posting a lot of pictures. I'm taking a short trip this evening to a little country church where Matthew (my son) will play with "The Bluegrass Pilgrims" for 5th Sunday service. That's the Bluegrass Gospel group that he's in, he plays the banjo. He can also play the guitar and is learning the dobro. We're so proud of that boy. I'll be back soon. See yall later.
